  • AnonymousSome guy I used to work with has my news feed full of Israel is right stuff. I'm not well versed enough to say anything, but don't they have a history of responding disproportionately?

More or less. They’re basically that one guy at the bar who got jumped by bikers a few times and is now such a little paranoid rageball that he’ll beat someone bloody for looking at him wrong.

    "responding disproportionately"

    Can I get an example?

Firing on the USS Liberty in 1967, killing 34 United States sailors, for the crime of being near a combat zone, for one

why does everyone forget that happened?

TIL that Israel is the only force ever to mistake friendly forces for enemies.

It’s among the only ones to deliberately continue to attack said forces after they’ve identified themselves, especially after OVERFLYING THE SHIP MULTIPLE TIMES PRIOR TO THE ATTACK AND CONFIRMING ITS IDENTITY.

You are all forgetting one thing… Israel has had to fight for it’s right to exist since it’s very existence…

Wasn’t aware that spying on the US, attacking the sailors of said nation, and selling the blueprints to our B-2s was a method of surviving but hey what do I know

You are only considering modern day Israel. Historically, Israel can be traced back to Isaac, and Palestine is traced back to Ishmael… brothers. These two have been at war for centuries. Palestine believes that the area in question was meant to be theirs. They have continually attacked Israel…. You must look at Israel before May of 1948 before making a judgement on who is right or wrong in this matter.

Are we all forgetting the mass genocide of Palestinians in Isreal at the hands of the Jewish government there?

Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself, or from holding certain views which others find inadmissible.

I don’t know how to communicate this, or even if it is possible, but the question of justice has concerned me greatly of late and I say to any creature who may be listening, there can be no justice so long as laws are absolute. Even life itself is an exercise in exceptions.
